A compute stick is about as compact as a PC can get. These mini computers bearing the resemblance of a USB drive have slipped under the radar in recent years, but I wouldn't count them out just yet.

Now that the first round of reviews are out, it's clear Intel's got the right idea with the Compute Stick, a full-blown PC on a $150 HDMI stick that plugs into any monitor or HDTV with a free port.
