A viewer was super concerned when the 22 kN rating on his sewn rope loop melted off in the rain and revealed a new sticker with a 12 kN rating. What he was doing buying life-supporting gear from Amazon I do not know These rope loops are sold as Prussic’s but 10mm prussics don’t make a lot of sense to us. When we test new sling loops rated for 22 kN we normally see results higher than 25 kN and definitely none under 22. Of 6 of these slings we tested only 2 achieved 22 kN. When you do the 3 sigma
