Our visit to Wits Art Museum to see Mapula Embroideries exhibition ‘2020 Through the Eye of a Needle’ offered a cathartic moment of reflection on the blur of time after COVID-19 was declared a pandemic. The work by Mapula Embroidery Project is beautiful as they thread through personal and collective memories of 2020.
