Yesterday, late afternoon, Potomac Riverkeeper, Dean Naujoks, and Water Quality and Volunteer Coordinator, Evan Quinter responded to a pollution hotline tip reporting more than twenty electric bikes and scooters in the Potomac River near the Kennedy Center. 🟢🚰 Water use restrictions for Sandusky and Erie County have been lifted. After several days of challenging winter conditions, water system operations have stabilized and the system has recovered. There was no issue with water quality, and the water remains safe to drink. With cold weather expected to continue, we are closely monitoring conditions and continuing work on multiple backup options to help maintain reliable water flow.
