The process of photosynthesis, where plants harness sunlight to create glucose, isn't just a botanical phenomenon. It turns out, we humans have more in common with plants than meets the eye! In our bodies, a similar yet intricate process takes place. Through melanin and POMC (Proopiomelanocortin), we essentially carry out our own version of photosynthesis when exposed to sunlight.
