Functional goals with a playful approach 🎣 Our patient here is an avid fisherman who has not been fishing since his stroke, so we brought the lake to him! Standing on the foam surface increased the balance challenge while he tried to catch magnetic fish with a fishing rod. We even saw a few pesky fish flopping around! This activity targeted: 🐟 static balance 🐠 weight-bearing through the paretic leg 🐡 active reaching/control with the paretic arm Functional. Fun. Purposeful. 🎣
